Digital Integration Storytelling Through Social-Emotional Education

Project Description

The DIST-SEED project, building on lessons from previous
Erasmus+ initiatives, focuses on Adult Education, specifically with
young adults. Combining Digital Storytelling (DST) and Social-
Emotional Education, the project aims to empower adult learners
by integrating personal narratives, multimedia tools, and socialemotional
experiences. Social-Emotional Education, based on
individualized remedial instructions, will help learners understand
and manage emotions, set positive goals, show empathy, build
relationships, and make responsible decisions. DST enhances
engagement and digital skills through various mediums like images,
videos, and games, facilitating inclusion and breaking barriers. This
innovative approach targets young adults facing hardships,
providing them with essential skills for personal, professional, and
social development.

The objectives of DIST-SEED project and its partnership are:

1Improving teachers’ and educators’ digital skills, professional qualifications and competence thanks to the introduction and use of the Digital Integration Storytelling Methodology combined with Social-Emotional Education.

2Provide adults’ teachers and educators (hence, the centres they work at) with an innovative educational framework, practical tools and highly motivating material for strengthening their young adult/adult learners’ self-empowerment, promoting their social and emotional inclusion into society, improving their digital and communication skills, so that they can overcome the difficulties they are facing.

RESULTS

Description of project’s results:

The main result of the DIST-SEED project will be the production of a Digital Storytelling through Social- Emotional Education for Adults Toolkit (comprising an Adult Educator’s Guide and a Practical Guide), which will be used by a group of adult education professionals – trained during the project – with their learners, to teach them digital skills and support them in finding a new studying/working/life path. Around 100 Digital Stories through Social-Emotional Education for Adults produced.
